French couple Meira and Nathaniel made Aliyah and were married in Israel with the majority of their family and friends attending, from France. Their wedding embraced all the traditions of a modern Orthodox Jewish wedding and also celebrated their Moroccan heritage with a Henna celebration to conclude their special day.
Photography commenced at Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem with hair and make up preparations and individual portraits of Meira and her family at the hotel. We met Nathaniel at The Kotel to capture his visit and morning prayers.
We proceeded to the The Davidson Centre for some formal portraits of Nathaniel and his family. The ceremony took place at this very important historical and spiritual centre for the Jewish people.
In keeping with Jewish custom, Meira and Nathaniel had not seen each other during the week proceeding their wedding up until the The Badeken ceremony.
Other customs, included drinking of the wine, the seven blessings and of coarse the breaking of the glass.
We took beautiful bridal portraits at dusk utilising the local architectural elements and views and then onto The View in Jerusalem for their reception.
